DIMAR leader: If review had ended in time, Greece wouldn’t have to implement more measures

If the second program review had concluded earlier, then the country would have needed to implement fewer measures, DIMAR leader Thanasis Theoharopoulos said on Monday, commenting on the result of the Eurogroup meeting in Brussels.

“The parliament’s budget office says that if the review had concluded in time then we wouldn’t be these demands today. With this unacceptable delay and the current uncertainty, even if the review closes, it will be with unacceptable measures. The government is negotiating alone, doesn’t listen to anyone, pushes the situation at an impasse and when we’re at the edge a cliff, it asks, ‘what shall I do, fall?’”
