Draghi says there was no spat with FinMIn Tsakalotos during Eurogroup

European Central Bank Mario Draghi on Monday sought to clarify media reports of an alleged spat with Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos at the last Eurogroup, saying there was only an exchange on the issue of non-performing loans and the need to reduce them through the electronic auctions.

Speaking to the European Parliament’s committee on economic affairs, he said that all the prior actions required by Greece have been implemented and the two remaining prior actions that concern the Hellinikon development project and the online foreclosure auctions are expected to be completed in the next two weeks.
