ECB President Draghi to urge euro countries to do more for economies

On Wednesday, Mario Draghi, the president of the European Central Bank, will urge countries in the eurozone to do more to improve the performance of their economies when he speaks in Frankfurt at an invitation-only conference, “Structural Reforms in the Euro Area.”

Mr. Draghi has for years been calling on European countries to loosen labor rules and get rid of red tape that discourages entrepreneurship, but he has had only limited success. One theme of the conference, organized by the central bank, is how to overcome political obstacles to change in countries like Italy. Jack Ewing
