Economy minister discuss investment opportunities in Greece with new Japanese ambassador

The prospect of increasing Greek exports of high added value products to Japan as well as the possibility of Japanese investments in Greece, particularly in energy, construction, ports and shipping, and hydroplanes were discussed at a meeting between Economy Minister Dimitris Papadimitriou and the newly appointed ambassador of Japan to Greece, Yasuhiro Shimizu, on Wednesday.

Papadimitriou presented Greece’s comparative advantages and the investing opportunities which, as he said, constitute an incentive for the further improvement and widening of the two countries economic relations.

The minister underlined the need the cooperation between the two countries, via the organisation Enterprise Greece and the embassies as well as through business missions, to strengthen in order all the investing opportunities offered by Greece to be examined.
