“Elpida” severe weather front: The Athens-Lamia highway is closed to trucks

With a decision of the traffic police, the Athens-Lamia National Highway at the height of the Kalyftaki bridge for trucks is closed due to the “Elpida” severe weather storm.

Note that the snowfall is so heavy that it takes only five minutes to pave the roads with snow.

In particular, according to the traffic announcement, the traffic ban applies to heavy vehicles on the new Athens – Lamia national road towards Lamia from the height of the Kalyftaki Bridge and from the Inofyta junction towards Athens, while the rest of the cars are required chains.
