Employees at Attikon hospital call 4-hour work stoppage on Wednesday

Employees at “Attikon” hospital have called a four-hour work stoppage (13:00 to 17:00) on Wednesday to protest what they describe as overcrowding, with camp beds and stretchers laying in the corridors of the building.

“All the governments and hospital managers created and therefore know the problem and do not deign to provide any relief for patients and the debilitated medical, nursing, administrative and other staff,” hospital employees said in a statement.

They said they demand the opening of closed clinics around Attica and the immediate hiring of staff, doctors, nurses and technical personnel to cover the needs of the hospital.
