Employment balance records highest performance since 2001 in January-September

Wage employment balance flows recorded the highest performance since 2001 in the first nine months of 2017, from January to September, official figures showed on Friday.

A monthly report by the labour ministry’s IT system “Ergani” showed that new hirings totaled 1,849,872 in the nine-month period, while dismissals or voluntary exits totaled 1,584,001 in the same period, leaving a positive balance of 265,871 new job positions.

Ergani also reported a positive hirings to dismissals balance of 17,128 jobs in September, with new hirings totaling 261,807 and dismissals totaling 244,679 in the month.
