The European Conference “Inequalities, neoliberalism and European integration: progressive answers” will be held in Athens in November.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will deliver the closing address to the conference, which is organised by the Institute Nicos Poulantzas and Transform!Europe and will be hosted in the Athens Concert Hall.
The key speakers on the first day of the conference (23 November) will be Government Vice president Yiannis Dragasakis and Jeremy Leaman, Emeritus Research Fellow in European Political Economy at Loughborough University and Professor of Labour Market and Inequality at the Amsterdam Centre for Inequality Wiemer Salverda.
Labour Minister Efi Achtsioglou, MEP Konstantina Kouneva will address the second day of the conference on November 24, along with Professor Gerhard Bosch of the Duisburg-Essen University and Professor of Comparative Employment Systems at Manchester University Jill Rubery.
Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and the chair of the European Parliament’s leftist group European United Left-Nordic Green Left Gabi Zimmer will address the conference on 25 November, before Tsipras’ speech.
