European Parliament to hold public debate on Greek programme

The European Parliament will hold a public debate on the progress of Greece’s economic adjustment programme, its impact and the prospects for future negotiations between Greece and its creditors next Tuesday in Strasbourg, a EuroParliament announcement said. European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Pierre Moscovici will also participate.

The debate will be held ahead of the crucial Eurogroup meeting on October 10, which is to approve the disbursement of a 2.8-billion-euro sub-tranche of loans to Greece.
