Year-on-year inflation in Greece rose to 1.0 pct in September 2017 compared with 0.6 pct in August and -0.1 pct a year earlier, according to data released by Eurostat on Tuesday.
In the euro area, annual inflation was at 1.5 pct in September compared to August.
At an EU level, annual inflation was at 1.8 pct in September, down from 1.7 pct in August and 0.4 pct a year ago. The lowest annual inflation rates were recorded in Cyprus (0.1 pct), Ireland (0.2 pct) and Finland (0.8 pct). The highest annual percentages were recorded in Lithuania (4.6 pct), Estonia (3.9 pct) and Latvia (3 pct).
