FinMin meets with trade chambers rep ahead of TIF

Finance Minister Christos Staikouras met with trade chambers head Constantine Michalos on Thursday, ahead of the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair.

Michalos is president of the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce and of the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

They discussed the need for three policies in the economy: reform of the taxation system; support of liquidity in the real economy; and support of extroversion and competitive ability in healthy entrepreneurship.

The ministry said the purpose of such meetings is to register the issues productivity forces are concerned with, exchange views, improve collaboration with the state, and bring about the best possible solutions to grow the economy.
