First written exam for Greek citizenship scheduled on May 16

The first written examination for foreign-born nationals to acquire Greek citizenship will be held nationwide on May 16, the Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday.

Once they pass the exam, foreigners will be granted the Certificate of Adequate Knowledge for Naturalization. The next step is to be interviewed by a three-member committee, which will determine the level of each person’s potential integration. This last step is regulated by both the Interior Ministry and the National Transparency Authority.
