Flight from Mytilene carries 82 recognised refugees to Germany

Another 82 recognised refugees departed on Wednesday from Mytilene for Hannover, Germany.

It was the third relocation of refugees from Mytilene in the context of a relocation programme implemented by the Migration and Asylum Ministry in cooperation with International Organisation for Migration, funded by the European Commission.
In the last 20 days a total of 426 recognised refugees left from Mytilene by air. The relocations are part of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ agreement with German Chancellor Angela Merkel for the relocation of 1,553 recognised refugees from Greece to Germany.
