Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will travel on Monday, March 21, to Brussels, where he will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) of the European Union (EU).
Prior to the opening of the Council’s proceedings, the minister will host a working breakfast for his counterpart from North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, which will be attended by other EU Foreign Ministers.
The items on the Foreign Affairs Council meeting’s agenda include Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine and the situation in Mali. Ministers are expected to discuss other current international developments as well.
The EU ministers will also hold an exchange of views with the Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, over a working lunch.
Finally, Dendias will participate, together with National Defence Minister, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, in the joint session of the EU Foreign Affairs and Defence Ministers that will examine the text of the “Strategic Compass”, with a view to its approval.
