Foreign investors slightly lowered exposure in ASE in November

Foreign investors slightly reduced their exposure in the Athens Stock Exchange in November, cutting their participation in the total capitalization of the Greek market to 64.8 pct from 65 pct in October, a decline of 0.03 pct. Including the participation of Hellenic Financial Stability Fund, foreign investors’ participation in the market eased 0.1 pct in the month to 62.3 pct. Foreign investors were net sellers with capital outflows of 45.68 million euros, while they accounted for 57.3 pct of total market transactions, up from 55 pct in the previous month.

Greek investors accounted for 37.6 pct of total market capitalization in November.

The value of transactions totaled 1.117 billion euros in November, up 22.4 pct from October and down 7.9 pct from November 2016. Average daily turnover was 50.76 million euros in November, up from 41.48 million in October, but down from 55.08 million euros in November last year. The number of active investor codes rose to 15,556 in November from 14,351 in October, but slightly down from 15,623 in November 2016. The market’s capitalization was 40.17 billion euros at the end of November, down 1.5 pct from October, but up 3.8 pct from November 2016.
