Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met with his Palestinian counterpart Riyad al-Maliki on Friday at the Foreign Ministry.
Maliki is visiting Athens to participate in the EU-Arab Summit.
During the meeting both officials reaffirmed the traditionally close relations between Greece and Palestine and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. They also discussed the developments in the Middle East and both ministers exchanged views on France and Russia’s initiatives, which Greece supports, for the Middle East.
Kotzias and Maliki also discussed the future steps of Cyprus, Greece and Palestine trilateral cooperation following the first trilateral meeting at Foreign Ministers level that was held in September in New York on the sidelines of the UN Security Council General Assembly.
