Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias to meet Albanian counterpart Bushati

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will meet on Thursday with his Albanian counterpart, Ditmir Bushati. The talks between the two ministers will focus on the next steps in the dialogue to solve outstanding bilateral issues.

The talks on outstanding issues in Greek-Albanian relations were opened on the initiative of the Greek Foreign Minister at his regular meetings with Bushati, starting in November 2017 in Crete followed in January 2018 in Korça where, according to a joint communiqué of both Ministries of Foreign Affairs, substantial progress was made.

Kotzias, after the meeting in Tirana, will leave for Vienna, where he will have a tripartite meeting with his counterpart Nikola Dimitrov and UN envoy Matthew Nimetz on Friday.
