The Greek foreign ministry on Saturday expressed its abhorrence for the terror attack in Cairo and support for Egypt in a tweet posted on the ministry’s official Twitter account.
“We express our abhorrence for the murderous attack in #Cairo targeting innocent civilians & our full solidarity to the people of #Egypt & its government. Sincere condolences to the victims’ families & loved ones @MFAEgypt,” the post said.
Following the attack on Friday, Deputy Foreign Minister for expatriate affairs Terens Quick contacted his Egyptian counterpart Nabila Makram to express his sorrow, as well as sending a message to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Egyptian authorities said that three Vietnamese tourists and their Egyptian guide were killed when a makeshift explosive device detonated as their tourist coach was passing by, near the pyramids of Giza.
