Foreign ministry expresses condolences for bomb blast at Pyramids of Giza

The Greek foreign ministry on Saturday expressed its abhorrence for the terror attack in Cairo and support for Egypt in a tweet posted on the ministry’s official Twitter account.

“We express our abhorrence for the murderous attack in #Cairo targeting innocent civilians & our full solidarity to the people of #Egypt & its government. Sincere condolences to the victims’ families & loved ones @MFAEgypt,” the post said.

Following the attack on Friday, Deputy Foreign Minister for expatriate affairs Terens Quick contacted his Egyptian counterpart Nabila Makram to express his sorrow, as well as sending a message to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.

Egyptian authorities said that three Vietnamese tourists and their Egyptian guide were killed when a makeshift explosive device detonated as their tourist coach was passing by, near the pyramids of Giza.
