Former Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos was admitted to hospital ‘Alexandra’ on Saturday after testing positive to Covid-19 on Friday.

The hospital announced that he was admitted at 11:10 am “for preventative reasons.”

Pavlopoulos, it said, “is vaccinated, does not exhibit symptoms, the state of his health is very good and it was decided (by his personal doctor) to admit him to a hospital for a few days’ observation due to his individual history as a patient of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).”
