Fourlis Group reported higher sales and profits in the nine-month period from January to September 2016, compared with the corresponding period last year.
Sales totaled 311.9 million euros, up 5.5 pct from 2015, while EBITDA jumped 39.5 pct to 25.6 million euros, pre-tax earnings amounted to 2.5 million euros from a loss of 4.0 million last year and after tax and minorities earnings totaled 1.3 million euros from a loss of 3.6 million in the same period last year.
The IKEA business reported sales of 209 million euros in the January-September period, up 7.7 pct from 2015, EBITDA jumped 40 pct to 18.7 million and pre-tax profits were 2.5 million euros from a loss of 2.0 million euros last year. Fourlis operates seven IKEA stores, five in Greece, one in Cyprus and one in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The Intersport business reported sales of 102.7 million euros in the nine-month period, up 6.2 pct from 2015. EBITDA rose 24.4 pct to 8.5 million euros and pre-tax earnings totaled 1.8 million euros, from 600,000 euros in the same period last in 2015. Fourlis operates a network of 112 Intersport stores (48 in Greece, 30 in Romania, 23 in Turkey, seven in Bulgaria and four in Cyprus) and seven The Athlete’s Foot in Greece and Turkey.
