Fourty two refugees and migrants were rescued south of Ierapetra

Fourty two refugees and migrants were rescued south of Ierapetra, Crete, late Thursday by the Greek Coast Guard.

The sailing boat that was carrying the migrants and refugees was left adrift and sent a distress call. The boat was located 35 nautical miles south of Ierapetra.

All refugees and migrants are well and are being transferred to Ierapetra.
According to sources, among the refugees, Pakistanis and Syrians, are two children and a pregnant woman.
