Fragogiannis: High investment interest despite the pandemic

Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Fragogiannis said on Tuesday that there was high investment interest despite the pandemic, in specific fields as energy, tourism and infrastructure, speaking to the Export Leaders Forum.

Fragogiannis pointed out the excellent prospects in the sectors of technology, digital services, transport management and logistics, given that Greece is a reliable and important partner in the area of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Balkans and the Middle East.

In parallel, he noted that Greek exporters are standing fast, despite the difficulties, and supporting the Greek economy by preserving not only jobs but also by increasing their sales to foreign markets.

In this context, he underlined that the foreign ministry understands the need to support the export effort, especially during the pandemic, and described the “new comprehensive strategic plan of action for the support of openness,” which is currently drawn up according to sector and country of priority and which intends to mobilise the entire Foreign Ministry mechanism in this area and coordinate it with the business world.
