“Beyond the denials of reports about the data’s reliability, there is an investigation underway and we await its results,” said opposition Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Fofi Gennimata while speaking to SKAI TV on Tuesday.
Gennimata said that she is worried and has raised the issue with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis because, as she said, there are serious questions surrounding the government’s responsibilities and the reliability of the data, which undermine the government’s credibility in the eyes of the citizens.
“I hope the prime minsiter comes to parliament and gives answers. We must ensure that we will have the minimum loss of human lives and this is the priority of all, this is our role as opposition, to point out the flaws, the problems, in order to be able to save people from the risk of dying from the virus,” Gennimata said.
Regarding the observation of the restrictions, Gennimata said that the government also has responsibility for this and not just the citizens.
