Georgiadis: The debate on perks for vaccinated citizens is global

“We will establish perks for vaccinated citizens when we reach the point where we can offer a sufficient quantity of vaccines to cover the entire population, when it will be certain that if people are not vaccinated, it is because they don’t want to be, not because they couldn’t get an appointment,” Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Monday on Skai TV.

Georgiadis noted that this point had not yet been reached, but Greek authorities expect to get there in the next two to three weeks.

He underlined that the debate on perks for vaccinated citizens is global and that this system is already being applied in some countries.

The minister stressed that all of the 398 patients with coronavirus who are currently being treated in intensive care are unvaccinated.
