Greece has implemented decisive reforms steps and made significant progress as the economy grows again and high unemployment drops, the spokesman of Germany’s Finance Ministry Dennis Kolberg told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) on Wednesday.
His comments came in response to a story published in Germany’s Handelsblatt newspaper referring to a plan to reduce Greece’s debt. Kolberg said it is important that Greece complete its adjustment program, and growth plan that will be presented at eurogroup.
“The next process will be discussed at the upcoming eurogroup meeting. But now the first issue is to implement the agreed reforms steps. Greece is working on this. The program’s third review has been completed and the fourth review is in progress. The institutions will inform us of progress on the implementation,” he said to ANA in response to a question on debt relief.
