Administrative Reconstruction Minister Olga Gerovasili on Thursday carried out an official visit to Georgia, during which Greece and Georgia signed a memorandum of cooperation on issues relating to public admistration reform, such as open government, transparent administration and electronic government.
In meetings with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Minister of State for EuroAtlantic Integration Victor Dolidze and Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani, Gerovasili presented the Greek government’s programme for administrative reconstruction. She noted that her visit aims to promote cooperation on public administration issues, “recognising how important and crucial it is to adopt reforms and technological innovation for the citizens’ unhindered access to state services.”
Among others, she also visited a Georgian public administration centre housing more than 400 state services dealing with the public.
Gerovasili’s visit followed up on a meeting between Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Kvirikashvili last May, on the sidelines of the TAP pipeline inauguration ceremony in Thessaloniki.
