Government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos slammed public sector union ADEDY for a flyer it circulated on the occasion of a general strike it has called on November 24, saying it constitutes “an act of political vulgarity”.
The flyer depicts Alternate Finance Minister Giorgos Chouliarakis under a large title that reads: “Wanted: The invisible Alternate Finance Minister Giorgos Chouliarakis, the genuine exponent and servant of the memorandums, and citizens’ deprivation.”
“No government minister operates independently, but everyone serves our common plan that aims at supporting workers, helping the Greek economy recover and ending our guardianship,” Tzanakopoulos said.
“Political protest and the struggles of workers is democracy’s oxygen. But cannibalism is a method used in other countries which are foreign to the trade union and labor movements, which are compromised with such actions,” he added.
