Greece, China three-year cooperation framework signed in Beijing

The new three-year Cooperation Framework (2020-2022) between the Greek Economy Ministry and the National Committee for Development and Reforms of China was signed during Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang in Beijing.

The Cooperation Framework focuses on the energy, transports, telecoms, research, development, processing and on the financial sector.

The three year framework was signed by Foreign Minister George Katrougalos and Deputy director of NDRC Zhang Yong in the presence of the two countries’ prime ministers.

Tsipras referred to the strategic character of the cooperation between Greece and China at the start of his meeting with Li Kequiang.

Welcoming Tsipras, the Chinese Prime Minister underlined the Greece’s constructive role in China’s relations with EU.

Earlier, Tsipras attended a lunch with the member of the Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) Wang Yang.
