Greece faced the refugees crisis with dignity and solidarity, Dep.Migration Min Balafas says

“Greece’s message for the World Refugees Day is that we managed to cover the needs of the uprooted and hunted people with dignity, solidarity and special care and set the situation under control aiming at the improvement of the way we deal with problems,” Deputy Migration Policy Minister Yiannis Balafas said on Tuesday in an interview with the Athens Macedonian News Agency’s radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM.

Referring to the delay in families reunifications and the refugees relocation to other European countries, Balafas admitted that “there are member states that respond to their obligations with indifference and cynicism.”

“This cannot continue, we insist on it as well as the institutions of the European Union. It is unacceptable that some countries refuse to meet their obligations,” said Balafas.
