Greece General Consulate in Izmir to be inaugurated

Greece’s General Consulate in Izmir, Turkey, will be inaugurated on Tuesday, in a ceremony to be attended by the foreign ministers of the two countries.

Greece’s Nikos Kotzias and his Turkish peer Mevlut Cavusoglu, will both attend the event that will also give them the opportunity to discuss issues of bilateral interest.

The building being inaugurated is the Kapetanakis mansion, a neo classical dwelling that has been renovated, and is one of the few Greek buildings to have survived the 1922 fires and conflicts in the area.
