Greece sells six-month T-bills at lower cost

Greece on Wednesday successfully auctioned a six-month Treasury bill issue, attracting strong demand with yields falling significantly, the Public Debt Management Authority said in an announcement.

The interest rate of the issue was set at 0.70 pct, down from 1.07 pct in the previous auction of same issue last month, while the authority raised 1.138 billion euros from the market. Bids submitted were 2.84 times more than the asked sum and totalled 2.485 billion euros.
