Greece sells six-month Treasury bills

Greek authorities on Wednesday successfully auctioned a six-month Treasury bill issue raising 1.138 billion euros from the market. The interest rate of the issue was set at 0.85 pct, unchanged from the previous auction of same issue in August 29. The issue was 1.31 times oversubscribed. The auction was made with the market’s primary dealers and settlement date was set for Friday, 5 October. The authorities will also accept non-competitive bids up to 30 pct of the asked sum by Thursday, 4 October.
