Greece sells three-month T-bills with significantly lower interest rate

Greece on Wednesday successfully auctioned a three-month Treasury bill issue raising 812.5 million euros from the market at a significantly reduced cost, evidence of a positive climate prevailing in markets after the issurance of a five-year bond by Greek authorities.

The interest rate of the issue was set at 0.50 pct, down from 0.67 pct of the previous auction of same issue. Bids submitted were 2.11 times more than the asked sum.
