Greece is the sixth-largest exhibitor in the ANUGA 2017 trade fair, which has attracted more than 7,400 exhibitors from 107 countries.
“This year’s participation is up 30 pct, reflecting a positive climate created by an increase in Greek exports,” said an announcement by Enterprise Greece, the organiser of the national participation in the largest international food fair in the world. The fair was held in Cologne, Germany and it will last until October 11.
The national pavillion hosts 160 extrovert enterprises and covers an area of around 2,800 square metres. The prefectures of Attica, Thessaly/Central Greece participated in the pavilion, along with the business chambers of Achaia, Kozani, Larisa and Trikala.
Christos Staikos, head of Enterprise Greece, stated: “We are here to boost the extroversion of Greek enterprises and to promote the dynamism of the food sector through a strong branding of the agri-food sector in Greece. The messages are positive, as shown in an increase of Greek exports”.
