The Greek government will soon be launching a fully electronic service for starting a company, the daily financial newspaper “Naftemporiki” revealed on Tuesday. According to the paper, a joint ministerial decision (JMD) is due to be signed that will outline the operating framework for three categories of one-stop-shop services for creating a company, as well as the prerequisites for setting up corporate formations.
The three categories of one-stop-shop services are an electronic one-stop-shop service, the electronic service provided by the Union of Hellenic Chambers and certified notaries. According to the report, all categories of these services will help business people found new companies and will significantly shorten the process, enabling companies to receive a tax registration number and join social insurance registers.
The report said that those who opt to use electronic services will have a 70 pct discount on duties while authorities are considering offering free-of-charge services for one year.
