Greece to take back control of policies after end to bailout, says Dragasakis

The end of Greece’s third bailout program will result in the country taking back control of government policies, said government vice president and Economy Minister Yiannis Dragasakis said on Wednesday.

Any supervision of Greece by lenders, or budget inspections, will be similar to those seen in other countries, he added.

“There will be no dependence on tranches, as a means of imposing policies that the government does not agree with,” he told parliament. “There will be a larger degree of freedom, and responsibility, in regards to planning the future of the country,” he said.
