Greece will have to implement a second package of prior actions by Dec. 1, senior EU official says

Greek authorities will have to implement a second package of prior actions by Dec. 11 so that a one-billion euro tranche is disbursed the following week, a senior eurozone official said on Thursday.

The same official said the amount should be disbursed by the end of the year, otherwise it will be available again after the next evaluations of the third programme, within 2016.

The official also estimated that the discussion on Greece will be short at the Dec. 7 Eurogroup and “there would be no political conclusions.”
