Greece’s foreign ministry expresses condolences for Mexico earthquake victims

The Greek ministry of foreign affairs on Wednesday posted messages in Greek, English and Spanish on Twitter, expressing condolences to the families of the victims of the latest earthquake in Mexico.

“Our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of #Mexico earthquake. We express our solidarity to the Mexican people and its govt” the English tweet said.

At least 217 people have died in the 7.1-Richter earthquake that shook the country, exactly 32 years
after the destructive Mexico earthquake of 1985 and less than two weeks since a strong tremor measuring 8.1 on the Richter scale, which cost the lives of nearly 100 people in the south of the country.
