Greece’s industrial import price composite index dropped 11.5 pct in July

Greece’s industrial import price composite index dropped 11.5 pct in July this year, compared with the same month in 2014, after a 2.1 pct decline recorded in the 2014-2013 period, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Monday.

The statistics service, in a report, attributed this development in the so-called imported inflation to a 0.5 pct decline in the import price index from Eurozone states and a 19.9 pct drop in import prices from countries outside Eurozone. The composite index fell 2.4 pct in July from June.
