Greece’s primary surplus totaled 3.8 pct of the country’s GDP last year, based on the memorandum signed with the country’s creditors, sharply up from a 0.5 pct target envisaged in the programe, government sources told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) on Monday.
Their comments were made after Hellenic Statistical Authority earlier announced that the general government’s surplus – based on the excessive deficit procedures – totaled 0.8 billion euros or 0.5 pct of GDP in 2016.
