Greek annual inflation rate at 0.4 pct in February, Eurostat report

The Greek annual inflation rate rose to 0.4 pct in February, from 0.2 pct in January, Eurostat said in a report released here on Friday. The EU executive’s statistics agency said that the annual inflation rate in Greece was 1.4 pct in February 2017.

In the Eurozone, annual inflation was 1.1 pct in February from 1.3 pct in January and 2.0 pct a year earlier. In the EU, the annual inflation was 1.3 pct in February from 1.6 pct in January and 2.0 pct in February 2017.

Cyprus (-0.4 pct), Greece (0.4 pct), Denmark and Italy (0.5 pct each) recorded the lowest annual inflation rates, while Romania (3.8 pct), Estonia and Lithuania (3.2 pct) the highest rates.
