Greek budget to include list of tax evaders and smugglers

Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos has signed a ministerial decision which envisages that an annual report of the heads of tax administration and customs, submitted with the state budget to Parliament, will include a list of taxpayers that have committed large-scale tax evasion and smuggling.

The ministerial decision outlined the details for drafting the annual report, which will include tax administration and customs activities in the last three years. Under the decision, the report will be drafted by the end of October each year and include all data related to revenue and measures to combat tax-evasion and smuggling. The report will include statistics on the course of revenue and data regarding fines imposed for breaching tax legislation, along with a list of tax evaders and smugglers.
