Greek exporters cautiously optimistic over export trends in 2018

Greek exporters are cautiously optimistic over export trends this year after an historic record in 2017, as the termination of an economic recession, the restoration of confidence and the return of the economy to stability created the necessary conditions for a successful year.

An analysis of provisional data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority by the Panhellenic Exporters Assocation showed that exports – including oil products – grew 13.2 pct in 2017 to 28.46 billion euros, from 25.15 billion in 2016. The previous export record was back in 2012, when Greek exports had reached 27.34 billion euros.
