Greek industrial production grew 2.3 pct in November, with manufacturing production up 1.7 pct in the month, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Monday.
The statistics service, in a monthly report, said that the industrial production index rose 2.3 pct in November compared with the same month in 2015, after a 2.6 pct increased recorded in the 2015/2014 period.
This development was attributed to an 1.7 pct increase in the manufacturing production index (pharmaceuticals rose 12.5 pct, base metals grew 26.1 pct, metal products 20.2 pct and vehicles soared 133.1 pct). Electricity production grew 8.0 pct and water production rose 0.8 pct in November, while the mining production index fell 7.9 pct in the month.
The average industrial production index in the January-November period grew 2.3 pct compared with the same period in 2015, while the seasonally-adjusted index fell 0.8 pct in November from October 2016.
