Greek industrial turnover index up 3.1 pct in February

The Greek industrial turnover composite index (measuring both the domestic and external markets) grew 3.1 pct in February this year compared with the same month last year, after a 21.5 pct increase recorded in the 2017/2016 period, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Thursday.

The statistics service, in a monthly report, attributed this development to a 24.1 pct increase in the mining turnover index and a 2.8 pct rise in the manufacturing turnover index in February. The domestic market turnover index fell 0.5 pct, while the external market turnover index rose 7.6 pct in February.

The index was down 3.2 pct in February from January 2018.
