Greek industrial turnover index up 8.6 pct in July

Greece’s industrial turnover composite index (measuring both the domestic and external markets) grew 8.6 pct in July compared with the same month last year, after a 7.0 pct decline recorded in the same 2016/2015 period, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Tuesday.

The statistics service, in a report, attributed this development to a 28 pct rise in the mining turnover index and an 8.3 pct increase in the manufacturing turnover index. The domestic market index rose 8.3 pct and the external market index rose 9.1 pct in July.

The composite index rose 2.1 pct in July from June 2017.
