Greek lessons to migrants and refugees offered by Athens municipality

New courses provided by the city of Athens will offer migrants and refugees the opportunity to learn the Greek language and to get acquainted with Greek history and culture.

The lessons will start in January at the Migrants Integration Centre of the muncipality and adult migrants and refugees will also be able to take computer courses or get career advice to access the labour market.

The lessons are offered free of charge and those interested may apply to the Migrants Integration centre at 45 Maizonos Street in Athens between 09:00 and 17:00.

“As we managed the spike of the refugees issue responsibly, we are once again offering these people the opportunity to learn our language, our history and our culture and to get better acquainted with us and the country they live in,” said Athens Mayor George Kaminis.
