Greek management consultants more optimistic in Q3

Greek Management Consultants Confidence Index – GMCCI improved spectacularly in the third quarter of 2017 to 14.2 pct, from 6.4 pct in the second quarter, Hellenic Association of Management Consulting Firms (SESMA) said in its quarterly report released on Thursday. SESMA said that the index is recovering in the last six quarters and has gained more steam in the last two quarters of 2017.

Vasilis Regouzas, president of SESMA, presenting the report, said that the country’s macro-economic figures in the last quarters confimed that the country was in a recovery course to exit the largest crisis in its post-War history. “What has to be ensured now is stabilizing and strengthening the development course by safeguarding the international competitiveness of the country and eliminating political and other interventions raising hurdles to investment activity. At the same time, all over-taxation cases must disappear, burdening companies and households and hindering growth. Let’s not lose this opportunity,” he said.

SESMA said the GMCCI index is enjoying its longest positive trend since early 2014, when the survey began.
