Greek PM Tsipras hails Juncker’s support for Greece-Bulgaria railroad project

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras hailed European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker’s expression of support for the railroad linking of Greece and Bulgaria.

Juncker has agreed to the use of European Union funds (known as “the Juncker package”) for the project, which was the focus of a meeting between Tsipras and Bulgarian President Boiko Borisov.

“The suppot of the Greece-Bulgaria agreement for the railroad linkage of ‘Sea to Sea’ is very important,” Tsipras tweeted during the meeting, held on the sidelines of the European Council meeting concluding in Brussels today.
