Greek stocks showed a mild downward trend in the Athens Stock Exchange on Tuesday, with turnover fluctuating at moderate levels. The general index fell 0.50 pct to end at 841.83 points, off the day’s highs of 848.49 points. The Large Cap index ended 0.53 pct lower and the Mid Cap index fell 0.56 pct. Turnover was 55.933 million euros in volume of 34,720,921 shares.

Lamda Development (5.38 pct), Viohalco (1.62 pct) and OTE (0.58 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while PPC (3.02 pct), OPAP (2.32 pct) and ADMIE (2.22 pct) suffered losses.

Among market sectors, Real Estate (1.26 pct), Health (1.14 pct) and Telecoms (0.58 pct) scored big gains, while Travel & Leisure (1.99 pct) and Financial Services (2.33 pct) suffered losses.

National Bank and Eurobank Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, decliners led advancers by 71 to 38, with another 32 issues unchanged.

Proodeftiki (17.95 pct), AEGEK (12.50) and Perseus (9.28 pct) were top gainers, while Lanakam (c, 24.00 pct), Dionic (19.91 pct) and Vioter (18.57 pct) were top losers.
